Todd Homme, a 23 year old makeup artist who is appearing on the Lifetime show: Blush: The Search For The Next Great Makeup Artist was found dead in his Manhattan home.
So far, few clues point to what happened to the young man, who by all accounts, had everything going for him.
"They don't know what happened to him," said his mother Marianne Amster. "He was at the height of life. It's very hard. Very, very hard."
Homme was chosen as one of the three finalists in "Blush." He stood to win a $100,000 prize and a contract from Max Factor.
Homme did not win the show, which finished taping last month, and was aware that he had come up short in his bid.
His mother said that Todd Homme's real passion in life was to help people.
More details are expected to be released today.
